The Tohoku Free Blades (東北フリーブレイズ) are an Asia League Ice Hockey team based in Hachinohe, Aomori, Japan.

History

History

Founded in 2008, they played their first Asia League season in 2009–10. The Free Blades have been one of the more successful teams since its creation, winning three Asia League titles (2011, 2013, 2015).

The Tohoku Free Blades are a professional ice hockey team based in the Tohoku region of Japan. Competing in the Asia League Ice Hockey (ALIH), the team is known for its passionate fan base and commitment to developing local talent. Established in 2009, the Free Blades aim to promote the sport of ice hockey across northeastern Japan, fostering community spirit and sportsmanship. With a roster featuring a mix of Japanese and international players, the team strives for competitive excellence while contributing to the growth of ice hockey in Japan. Their home games are held at the Sekisui Heim Super Arena in Sendai, where fans gather to cheer on their team in a vibrant and energetic atmosphere.
